Mum reading to me is one of my favourite childhood memories.
I created these books for my Mum. She has always loved reading.
As she got older and reading became harder, I wanted to find a way for to still share our love of books.
Dementia-Friendly Books use clear images and short sentences. She reads a line or two, pauses, and then we talk.
It is not about reading perfectly. It is about being together.
A thoughtful gift…
The most meaningful gifts are the ones you share.
When visiting a loved one, whether at home or in aged care, every visit is different. Some are full of conversation and laughter. Others are quieter, and it can be harder to find a way in.
Bringing a simple activity to share can create that connection.
Reading a page or two together offers a natural starting point. It can spark conversation, or simply provide a calm moment side by side.
It also allows you to express things that do not always come up in everyday conversation, helping your loved one feel seen, valued and special.
I’m so proud of you…
The I’m So Proud of You series offers a simple way to express the deeper things we often struggle to say. With clear images and short, easy-to-follow text, it helps create meaningful moments of connection with your loved one.
“I am so proud of how you have handled change.
A new home.
New routines.
New people.
That is a lot to cope with - and you do so with a brave face.”
Things they know…
A thoughtful series of five picture books that celebrate the small truths we all recognise in life.
The Things They Know books are designed for easy reading and shared moments, making them a meaningful gift for parents, grandparents and loved ones.
“Dogs know that loyalty and trust runs both ways. Love given is love returned. ”
“Families know that distance doesn’t mean we are disconnected.
The bond stays strong, no matter how far apart we are.”
